The AAA Mobile App now supports Fingerprint and Facial Recognition technology, which exists on select mobile devices. Read on below for mobile device requirements and steps.
Mobile Device Requirements
- Supports fingerprint or facial recognition technology, and
- Meet the AAA Mobile App’s Operating System requirements (detailed within the App Store listing), and
- The installed AAA Mobile App is the most recent version available in the App Store
Steps to Implement:
- In order to generate the biometric login invitation, if you are already logged in - log out of the app: Click the round person icon in the upper-left-corner of the Mobile App Home Page:
- The left navigation menu appears - click the "Log Out" menu listing:
- The AAA Mobile App Home Page re-appears. Next to "Welcome, Guest!" click the "Login" link:
- On the Login page: a popup appears asking “Do you want to allow AAA Mobile to use Face ID / or Fingerprint ID?". Click "OK":
- Upon OK, log in once more with your password. Your biometric login setting has been enabled. Future logins will use this option automatically.
- Please Note: if you ever change your AAA.com password, you will be prompted to log in via the standard method once more and opt back into biometric login.
Fingerprint or Facial recognition setting not being offered? Please delete the AAA Mobile App from your phone to remove any pre-saved login settings. Then reinstall the App from the App Store and proceed with the steps above.
