AAA Western and Central New York is pleased to announce the promotion of David Kirst to Insurance Sales Manager. Kirst previously served as a Senior Insurance Advisor for AAA at its Orchard Park office where he often shared his expertise with the media on various insurance-related topics. In his new position, he will be based out of AAA’s Amherst Headquarters and will manage insurance sales across the Western and Central New York region.

In his role as Insurance Sales Manager, Kirst will be responsible for overseeing and growing the Property and Casualty Insurance Sales and Service departments. He will have direct responsibility for AAA Insurance Supervisors in both Sales and Service, and he will partner with Field Sales Advisors on their development and performance success.

“I am excited to take on this amazing opportunity to help make the AAA Insurance department the best that it can be,” said Kirst. “Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful over the years in preparing me for this new position.”

Kirst joined AAA in 2017. He has 13 years of insurance sales experience in Life, Health, Property and Casualty, and Commercial insurance industry. Kirst is a graduate of SUNY Morrisville.

AAA Insurance has enjoyed significant growth in recent years. The local agency reached $50 million in premium in 2023, and Kirst has played a key role in that development. “Other insurance agencies have been cutting back and downsizing,” he noted. “We here at AAA already have so much talent in our insurance department currently and are looking to add even more. I am excited to be part of the team to help grow our current and future agents.”

A lifelong Western New York native, Kirst grew up in Hamburg and currently resides in Orchard Park with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
