AAA is excited to announce that the AAA Mobile app is now in Apple CarPlay. AAA Members can find the nearest gas station and pricing or locate electric vehicle charging stations along their route. Plus, users can access their membership number and tier directly through CarPlay.

In addition, AAA now offers roadside service through Apple’s Roadside Assistance via Satellite. This feature allows iPhone 14 and 15 users to request help if stranded in a remote area without cell service or Wi-Fi.

AAA Members like to receive information and services in various ways, including using CarPlay. Before hitting the road, AAA recommends drivers do the following:

• · Launch any navigation apps and load your trip information
• · Set your preferences in the AAA Mobile app for things like vehicle and fuel type
• · Whenever possible, have a passenger navigate CarPlay and relay the information to minimize driver distraction

Experts from our research and traffic safety teams evaluated the AAA Mobile app functionality and provided recommendations on how to limit distraction. Some of their recommendations have already been implemented, and others will be addressed in the future.
