For a basic drive, simply enter a starting point and destination to map your route and get turn-by-turn directions. You can also enter up to 25 stopovers to create a complete road trip.

Use the points-of-interest icons to locate and get information about nearby restaurants, attractions and events. You can also use them to find and book hotels that meet AAA standards for quality and cleanliness.

Display the gas station icons to let you know where to fill up along the way. Station listings show the fuel grades offered and the latest per-gallon gas price.

Traveling with your pet? No problem. AAA has quick and easy ways to let you know which hotels are pet-friendly.

Adele Brabon, senior manager of travel sales and service center at AAA Western and Central New York, said TripTiks offer the ability to plan a trip based on hours traveled.

“For instance, if someone is taking a trip that is 600 miles and they want to stop every three hours, the TripTik travel planner allows them to do that,” Brabon said.

You can title your road trip and save it for the future, and you can easily reverse your route for your trip back home.

Did you know it’s easy to move a TripTik that was built on a computer over to your smartphone? Just scan the QR code that’s generated with each TripTik. The trip will transfer to your AAA Mobile app, where you can get turn-by-turn voice navigation.
