With information changing rapidly, AAA Western and Central New York is working to keep members and the public informed amid the ongoing pandemic. 

Here are some travel updates for Thursday, March 26:

• Delta Air Lines is extending its waiver to protect customers purchasing tickets between March 1, 2020 and April 15, 2020, for future travel to any destination, due to the Coronavirus situation.  The previous alert was through March 31, 2020. 
• CIE Tours – extremely popular for trips to Ireland - has extended suspension of all destinations through May 31, 2020.  
• REAL ID implementation postponed - The President has announced that he plans to extend the deadline for when Americans will be required to have new REAL ID credentials to board domestic flights.  He did not specify a new deadline and it is important to note that nothing will be final regarding the extension until the Department of Homeland Security releases detailed guidance. AAA with share details as more information is available.

With information changing rapidly and, in an effort, to keep the public informed, AAA will share the latest information with radio host Roger Christian each weekday morning on WECK Buffalo. These segments run at 8:35 a.m. with an earlier segment on Thursdays at 8:15 a.m.

Please note that there may be more cancellations and suspensions since this was published as the situation continues to evolve quickly. Concerned travelers should always reach out to their travel consultant for the latest information. When AAA Western and Central New York receives notifications, the travel department immediately pulls a list of all travelers on that itinerary and proactively reaches out to them to assist with their travel needs.
