AAA Western and Central New York is pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Ratinskiy to Manager of the AAA Amherst Travel and Insurance Center. Ratinskiy previously served as Senior Travel Sales Advisor in Amherst.

The AAA Amherst T&I Center is located at 100 International Drive, at AAA’s regional headquarters, and offers a variety of travel, insurance, and membership services to the Buffalo region. In her role as branch manager, Ratinskiy oversees travel and insurance sales, manages staff, and supervises all transactions.

"I'm excited that I’ve been able to expand my role at AAA and take on a management opportunity and utilize my skills to lead and inspire others,” Ratinskiy said. “This is an exciting time at AAA as we are launching new services and products. I encourage everyone to stop in and see how we can help with their travel and insurance needs.”

Ratinskiy originally joined AAA in 2017 as a Travel Advisor handling AAA TripTiks, which is no surprise given her childhood travel traditions. “Growing up, my parents and I would take our annual summer road trip vacations to historical sites like Gettysburg and Washington, D.C., but my favorite road trips were to Cape Cod,” she said. “I think I have been to Cape Cod almost as much as Disney. And we always came into AAA to get our traveler’s cheques and TripTiks, which I always wanted to be in charge of reading.”

She attended Niagara County Community College and holds a degree in Interior Decorating - a skill that has helped her identify luxurious hotels and destinations for her travel clients. Hawaii is Ratinskiy’s favorite beach destination while Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando are her top choices for rides, attractions, and food options.

A native of North Tonawanda, she now lives in East Amherst with her husband and son. When she’s not busy managing the branch, or sending clients around the globe, you’ll find her volunteering at her son’s school for holiday parties and special events.
