And, an international driving permit (IDP) provides your license information in eleven different languages and acts as a valid source of identification in over 150 countries.

Unexpected circumstances can happen at any time - be prepared with AAA.

Getting a Passport

  1. Visit your local AAA Office to obtain your passport photo. Note: Glasses in photos are not accepted. Even when worn every day, they must be removed for a passport photo. Learn More.
  2. Review the U.S. Department of State passport site on getting a first time or renewing a passport.
  3. Look for "Download or Fill Out my Form". Choose the Form Filler to input fields online to print out for in-person processing (step 4). This helps speed processing time and reduce error-causing delays.
  4. Where to apply for your new passport depends on when you need it. Visit "How Quickly Do You Need a Passport". For routine application visit the Passport Acceptance Facility Search site.

If you are located abroad and need to apply, visit the "Apply Outside the United States" Travel.gov page.
