I grew up in the Bristol Hills of Naples, NY playing soccer, riding horses, skiing and spending most summers on Keuka Lake at my grandparents' house. After receiving my Associate's Degree in General Science, I worked at Yellowstone National Park for a summer. After that fantastic experience I traveled out West for a time and my true passion for travel emerged. I went back to school and earned my second Associate's Degree in Travel and Tourism at Finger Lakes Community College. Shortly thereafter I started working at AAA in Canandaigua, NY.
My background in science speaks to my natural curiosity and love of natural history, geography, and human history which pairs well with my love of travel. I am happiest when traveling. I love meeting people and experiencing new cultures, customs, languages and cuisine. I want to see as much of this amazing planet as possible.
I have many years of experience in selling travel and having traveled extensively so I can provide hands-on knowledge and tips for many destinations. Working at AAA, an acclaimed nationally trusted company, I can provide trustworthy quality travel plans. I strive to take care of you every step of the way, helping you find and plan that perfect vacation, providing recommendations for your destination, helping work through problems that may arise before or during travel and wanting to hear from after about how fantastic your trip was.
Having been with AAA for over 17 years in the travel department I have learned so much on the job and I have attended many travel trainings and seminars throughout the years. Between traveling for business and pleasure, I have traveled in all manner of ways from big and little ship ocean cruises to elegant river cruising; from escorted and independent land tours to train and self drive travel. I have been to 24 countries and counting and have loved every moment and destination.
It is very difficult for me to pick a favorite, because I love it all, but if pushed I’d have to say South Africa, it was a life changing experience. The Cape Dutch wine country is set amidst beautiful pastoral countryside surrounded by lush hills and mountains. The Cape Peninsula has breathtaking scenery and coastal drives and is crowned by Table Mountain, recently named in the New 7 Wonders of Nature, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Cape Town is sophisticated and worldly with many posh restaurants, African tribal art, music and gorgeous beaches. I saw the Big Five on Safari at a private game reserve and that was one of the most exciting times in my life.
My dream vacation would be a safari in Kenya and Tanzania followed by a Nile River Cruise. In my opinion the epitome of nature and history, a perfect mix.
