A new musical making its Canadian debut ahead of its impending Broadway production, finds stories of humanity in one this century’s earliest tragedies. Written by Canadian playwrights Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and directed by Christopher Ashley, this musical is poised to make a big splash in the theatre world.Set shortly after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, 38 planes with 6,579 passengers are stranded in a small town in Newfoundland as air traffic is suspended. The locals open up their homes to these weary travellers, offering a sign of hope in a troubling time.
A gem! Powerful, Heart-warming & very funny. A celebration of Humanity. The tremendous buzz is entirely justified.
