Romeo Whou has joined AAA Western and Central New York as the new Insurance Sales Manager. From AAA’s Amherst headquarters, Romeo will oversee insurance sales and operations across Western and Central New York.

Romeo’s background stems from retail banking. He shares that his nearly 15 years of experience in banking sales management, including his previous position as Area Sales Manager for Five Star Bank, prepared him for his new role as Insurance Sales Manager. “Banking is adjacent to insurance; before I was protecting client’s financial assets, I’m now protecting their insurable assets,” he said. With an educational background in music and library sciences, Romeo discovered his talent and passion for guiding teams and improving company operations.

Romeo says he looks forward to the opportunity to assist the insurance team’s growth, bringing their sales and operations to the next level, and fostering an even better member experience.

A native of New York City, Romeo resides in East Amherst with his husband, Randy. Their two sons, ages 6 and 8, keep them busy. In his free time, he loves cooking, watching movies, and enjoying the new family puppy.
