Imagine setting sail in Paris aboard a luxurious river cruise ship and being pampered as you visit historic sites, soak in unparalleled beauty, and explore picture-perfect villages. Not to mention, you’ll make your way to Normandy to pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of D-Day. The 2020 AAA Western and Central New York Member Appreciation Trip is shaping up to be extra spectacular.

You’ll visit sites like Monet’s gardens in Giverny where you can see the breathtaking scenery that inspired famous artwork. You don’t need to be an artist or a gardener to appreciate this beauty!

General Manager of AAA WCNY Group Travel Michelle Putnam has been busy putting extra special touches on the trip and captured these photos, including a shot of Van Gogh’s final resting place, as she took time to scout the trip to make sure it will meet and exceed guest expectations.

Excursions to places like Van Gogh's grave are all-inclusive on this trip.

The annual Member Appreciation Trip attracts travelers from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse and AAA takes care of all the arrangements so there’s no guesswork involved. All excursions are included in the price of the trip, along with meals so there are no surprises once you get on board the river cruise. The history that you’ll uncover along the way will be immeasurable – and all of it will be led by a knowledgeable, English-speaking tour guide.

You’ll explore French towns and villages as you make your way to the beaches of Normandy, where Allied forces landed during WWII’s D-Day invasion – the visit will tie into the 75th anniversary commemoration. If that’s too emotional, no need to worry, other optional excursions will be available – there’s something for everyone on this trip! AAA travel consultants will also be on hand to take care of your needs every step of the way.
