Tour Operator: Insight Vacations

Tour Code: AMID

Tour Length: 10 days

Between the big ticket items of New York, Washington, D.C. and Niagara Falls, this fascinating journey runs the gamut of American history and surprises with an eclectic mix of visits that are pure Americana. Premium Experiences & Dining: Your ‘monumental’ guided tour of Washington, D.C. includes the dignified Arlington National Cemetery. Gain a deeper understanding of the Battle of Gettysburg - a major turning point in the Civil War. Visit the Cathedral of Learning in Pittsburgh. Carriages, horseless carriages and vintage vehicles illustrate Pittsburgh’s place in automotive history at the Frick Center’s Car and Carriage Museum. Greet the howling spray, wind and thunder at the base of Niagara Falls aboard your Maid of the Mist cruise. It’s in a glass of its own! Corning’s Museum of Glass will blow your mind and shatter all perceptions. Everything becomes crystal clear at this most fascinating museum. Many perceptions of the Amish are derived from the film, Witness. But there’s definitely more to witness than just black hats, bonnets, chin-curtain beards and a fondness for the horse and cart.
