AAA Ken-Ton Travel Agents Earn Special Certification

BUFFALO, N.Y., September 27, 2011 – Victoria Wakefield and Karen Weiss were recently designated as a Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialists by the Travel Institute, an educational travel industry organization. Wakefield and Weiss are travel consultants at AAA Western and Central New York’s Ken-Ton Travel and Insurance Center, 1737 Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda.

The lifestyle travel certification designates both professionals as experts in honeymoon travel trends, vow renewal ceremonies and destination wedding locations, cruises and legal requirements.

Wakefield has over 17 years of travel industry experience. She is a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and is an Accredited Cruise Counselor (ACC), in addition to being a designated Eastern European and Italy Destination Specialist. Wakefield is an expert in worldwide travel and holds a Travel Certificate from Niagara County Community College.

Weiss has 17 years of travel industry experience and is also a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge. She is certified by the Crystal Cruises Academy, Cunard Commodore, and is a Las Vegas Certified Agent. Additionally, she is designated as a Gay and Lesbian Travel Lifestyle Specialist, Western Europe and Sandals and Beaches Resorts Specialist.

AAA Western and Central New York will hold a special Honeymoon Planning Event at its Ken-Ton Travel and Insurance Center on November 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participants will explore romantic destinations, receive exclusive savings and learn more about AAA’s free Bridal Registry and Gift program.
