Now Open: First-of-its-kind AAA Car Care Plus® in Clarence

New facility features automotive repair, travel & insurance services under one roof

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 3, 2010 – AAA officially opened its new AAA Car Care Plus “all in one” facility in Clarence today with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. President/CEO Tom Chestnut, along with Clarence Town Supervisor Scott Bylewski, Clarence IDA President David Hartzell, Clarence Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Judy Sirianni and Erie County Legislator Ray Walter were on hand to help celebrate.

Located at 8120 Main Street near the intersection of Transit Road, AAA Car Care Plus combines automotive repair and maintenance with AAA’s traditional travel and insurance services. The new Clarence location is the first of its kind in New York State and has created 15 new jobs for Western New York.

“Our new AAA Car Care Plus location is a unique concept that will provide convenient, all-in-one access to AAA’s products and services,” said Tom Chestnut, President/CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. “This facility will allow you to protect your family with auto, home and life insurance, book a much needed vacation, and have the family vehicle repaired; all in one visit.”

AAA opened their first Car Care Plus facility at 2131 Eggert Road in Amherst in 2008. AAA Car Care Plus provides full repair, routine maintenance, and glass repair and replacement for members and nonmembers alike. The new Clarence facility represents only the second AAA-owned and operated auto repair facility in New York State.

“AAA Car Care Plus serves as a natural extension of AAA’s nearly 100 years of providing reliable roadside assistance to members, completing a service loop from breakdown to repair to on the go,” said Chestnut. “Opening a second location with added AAA Travel and Insurance services is the next progression towards enhancing AAA members’ experience.”

Hours of operation for automotive repair and maintenance are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel and insurance services can be conducted Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The phone number is (716) 932-3900.

As Upstate New York’s largest member services organization, AAA provides nearly 880,000 members with travel, insurance, financial and automotive related services. Since its founding in 1900, AAA has been a leading advocate for the safety and security of all travelers. Visit AAA at www.AAA.com.
