AAA Educates for the Long Term during Insurance Days

March is Insurance Month at AAA, Club to host free seminars

BUFFALO, N.Y., February 26, 2010 – Throughout the entire month of March, AAA is encouraging members and the general public to review their insurance needs for the year during AAA Insurance Days. Insurance Days is a month-long initiative aimed at educating consumers about personal lines insurance needs, such as auto, home, life, disability, and long term care policies.

"Everyone has different insurance needs based on their current life situation and too often consumers carry coverage that doesn’t particularly match their needs or lifestyle,” said David Weber, Vice President of AAA Members Insurance Agency. “AAA Insurance Days is the perfect opportunity to ‘tune up’ your auto and home insurance policies and learn more about life insurance and long term care options for you and your loved ones.”

During Insurance Days, AAA will host two free seminars to educate members and the general public about long term care planning options and how insurance can protect independence, assets and family well-being.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 12 million Americans aged 65 or older will require some type of long term care by 2020. Today, over nine million citizens over 65 will require long term care as they age.

AAA Insurance Days allows consumers to discuss where they may need more or less insurance coverage and why it’s important to have complete, customized policies. AAA’s knowledgeable, licensed insurance agents will be providing one-on-one policy reviews to ensure that consumers have the proper coverage to match their individual or family lifestyles and offer potential discounts to help lower premium costs.

AAA Insurance Days will take place throughout the entire month of March during normal AAA Western and Central New York business hours. Auto, home, renters, life, disability, personal liability, and long term care policies are eligible for complimentary policy reviews.
