September 19th event offers information & special discounts from AAA preferred travel vendors

BUFFALO, N.Y., September 4, 2009 – AAA Western and Central New York will hold a Travel Expo on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its AAA Amherst Travel and Insurance Center. The event will feature special travel deals from AAA’s preferred travel partners, giveaways, and one-stop passport processing.
During the event, AAA members and the general public will have the opportunity to get their passport photos taken and have their passport applications reviewed and processed by a representative from the Erie County Clerk’s office. As of June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens must present a valid U.S. Passport Book, U.S. Passport Card, or other WHTI-compliant document, when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda via air, land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry.
Passport processing participants should bring proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a birth certificate, proof of identity, and necessary fees. AAA’s passport photo service is available at $7.95 for members and $10.00 for nonmembers.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to obtain expert information about their favorite destinations from AAA’s preferred travel partners. Representatives from Travel Impressions, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Adventures by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, AAA Member Choice Vacations, Funjet Vacations, Holland America Line, and Snyder Tours will be on hand to answer questions about vacation packages and offer exclusive event savings as participants plan their next getaway.
Event giveaways include AAA Travel Store products, door prizes from vendors, and a special one-day motorcoach trip for two to Bally’s Claridge Tower in Atlantic City, November 16-18, 2009, compliments of Snyder Tours, a subsidiary of AAA Western and Central New York.
