AAA to Offer Point & Insurance Reduction Program in Irondequoit
Participants Save Money on Insurance Costs and Improve Driving Skills
ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 21, 2009 – For the first time in the Town of Irondequoit, AAA Western and Central New York will sponsor six-hour defensive driving courses at St. Cecilia Church, 2732 Culver Road, Irondequoit, N.Y. 14622. Two classes are currently scheduled:
- Wednesday, July 29 and Wednesday, August 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., both sessions.
- Monday, August 17 and Thursday, August 20 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., both sessions.
Class participants will receive up to a 10 percent insurance discount on their collision and liability insurance premiums for the principal driver – valid for 3 years, will receive a benefit on their driving record by up to 4 points for violations occurring within the past 18 months, and will refresh driving skills while learning techniques for collision prevention.
The cost is $35 for AAA members and $41 for non-members. Class participants may register by calling 1-800-836-2582 or visiting www.aaadriverprograms.com.
AAA’s classroom instructors are professionally trained, and the class is recognized by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles as a Point and Insurance Reduction Program.
Additionally, the defensive driving course is now available online at www.aaadriverprograms.com. Online participants will receive the same benefits as the classroom course. The cost of the online version is $44 for AAA members and $48.95 for non-members.
