Over a century ago, AAA began as an organization for motorists. “Automobiling,” in its earliest days, was an exclusive sport, and the auto club was a fraternity for car owners. In fact, AAA began as a social organization where friends met to share their love and knowledge for road travel. In that spirit, we are excited to announce that we have formed a new AAA Road Travel Club, where we can engage in that same kind of excitement.

AAA Western and Central New York remains committed to the cause of traffic safety in our communities. We are pleased to introduce the Auto Club of Western and Central New York Foundation for Traffic Safety Inc.

I’ve had the same battery in my car since I bought it, so I knew that some day soon my luck would run out. Well, last month it did! I walked outside to go to work one morning, and my car wouldn’t start. I had never placed a call before, so I didn’t know what to expect.

Ever since my son went to Genesee Country Village & Museum for a school field trip four years ago, we have been meaning to go back as a family, so we took an impromptu trip there last weekend. What a great place!

When the weather’s just a little too hot, or wet, or cold to be outside, you can still get away for a day at the pool, thanks to the Palm Island Indoor Water Park in Batavia, located about halfway between Rochester and Buffalo. And now, AAA members can save on admission there, too.

This weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher! There are plenty of great beaches just a short drive from home.
