Over a century ago, AAA began as an organization for motorists. “Automobiling,” in its earliest days, was an exclusive sport, and the auto club was a fraternity for car owners. In fact, AAA began as a social organization where friends met to share their love and knowledge for road travel. In that spirit, we are excited to announce that we have formed a new AAA Road Travel Club, where we can engage in that same kind of excitement.

With an abundance of sites rich in historical lore and significance, the Finger Lakes community of Auburn proudly calls itself "History's Hometown."

I’ve had the same battery in my car since I bought it, so I knew that some day soon my luck would run out. Well, last month it did! I walked outside to go to work one morning, and my car wouldn’t start. I had never placed a call before, so I didn’t know what to expect.

Although hotly debated among my friends and family, I think the most beautiful finger lake is Keuka. About 90 minutes from my home in Rochester, Keuka’s unique Y-shape and dramatic glacial topography makes it a spectacular place for a long bike ride.

When you stroll down Canandaigua’s Main Street, it’s easy to see why this small Finger Lakes town has such big appeal. Its attractions, activities, and of course, the lake, offer visitors plenty of potential for a weekend getaway or just a quick, close-to-home day trip.
