As the holiday season gets underway, so do the holiday parties! AAA is reminding all motorists throughout Western and Central New York to have fun while staying safe as they celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

AAA works year-round to educate members about driving practices that will help keep them safe and reduce traffic-related crashes. We are now urging motorists to remember the safety precautions they should take during this festive season. We strongly recommend:

  • Planning ahead
  • Picking a designated driver
  • Taking a cab
  • Staying with a friend

Also remember that if you are driving, it should only be done while drug and alcohol-free.

While not a nationwide program, a small number of AAA clubs offer Tow-to-Go or Tipsy Tow service during certain holidays and events for members and nonmembers. AAA Western and Central New York is not a participating club. For more information on which AAA clubs offer the service, please visit the AAA National Newsroom.

AAA members throughout the greater Buffalo area do have an alternative. Designated Drivers of Buffalo offers a 15% discounted rate for AAA members in Buffalo and surrounding suburbs.

We wish you all safe and happy holidays!

How do you plan to stay safe on the roads this holiday season? Tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
