A handy guide for over-packers
Let’s face it over-packers, when we go on vacation we are sorely tempted to bring everything in our closets along for the ride. After all, there is a remote chance we will get invited to a gala while in Rome and need that formal gown or tux we purchased on sale and have never worn!
In reality, it’s highly unlikely you’ll need your best clothes while on vacation. You may have heard in the news over the past couple of days that air traffic controller furloughs have begun and are causing many delays at airports across the nation. The airports that are expected to be most directly impacted are the largest such as Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare, Newark, JFK, LaGuardia and Los Angeles. But delays at these airports can have ripple effects on others across the country, leading to additional delays at medium-sized and smaller airports as well.

I had the opportunity to work in Guest Relations at Walt Disney World shortly after I graduated from college. As part of that role, I went through an intense training so I would know the parks inside and out, and be prepared for any questions that a guest might ask. And, most of the time, I was!

Happy Earth Day! Travel is a great way to get out into the environment and appreciate what the earth has so generously given us – from the awe-inspiring nature of Glacier National Park to the historical and architectural beauty in Venice, Italy, our wanderlust sends us traveling more now than ever before.
Although today’s the official day that we consider the cost of our activities on the environment, there are some things we can do every day to scratch our itch for travel while still being gentle on the earth.

Over a century ago, AAA began as an organization for motorists. “Automobiling,” in its earliest days, was an exclusive sport, and the auto club was a fraternity for car owners. In fact, AAA began as a social organization where friends met to share their love and knowledge for road travel. In that spirit, we are excited to announce that we have formed a new AAA Road Travel Club, where we can engage in that same kind of excitement.

For the first time in 10 years Syracuse University is going to the NCAA Final Four! The game, against the University of Michigan on Saturday, April 6th, is at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Even the casual SU fan remembers the end result of the NCAA Tournament the last time SU appeared in the Final Four in 2003 (I won’t say it for fear of causing some kind of jinx).

Now is a good time to bring in your car for a simple professional checkup. Your technician will look for any automotive issues that may have developed after so many months of banging potholes and collecting salt.
Other small routine maintenance items—a spring tune-up, a tire change or rotation, or a battery check—can help your car perform more efficiently and get better gas mileage.
