The elegant interior has been restored to its original beauty and features an unmatched collection of political and travel souvenirs, decorative arts and photographs that spans William Seward’s nearly forty-year political career. One of the most influential men of his time, William Seward was a New York State Governor, a U.S. Senator and a Secretary of State to Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. Take a guided tours or wander on your own and enjoy the many fascinating aspects of this beautifully preserved home. Enjoy masterpieces of American art and special exhibitions in both the historic house and the museum's gardens.
