The Essentials You Need to Know
Knowing the basics about your vehicle can come in handy—it can help you notice something before it becomes a roadside problem or a costly repair, and you’ll have a much better understanding of what your mechanic recommends.
AAA's Basic Mechanics course provides you with this general understanding of how your vehicle works, and demonstrates some simple and commonly recommended routine maintenance procedures.
The course includes:
- 1-1/2 hours of classroom instruction
- 1-1/2 hours outside with a car examining the mechanical components of a vehicle
Please note that the second half of the course takes place outside, so dress appropriately for weather.
